So very overdue for an update. Working on it. Work is being epic and awesome, which I appreciate. My boss is a remarkable improvement over the last three. XD

Still have a MASSIVE photo backlog, but have now finished wedding photos for Ger, so one step forward. I seriously need to budget more time to do photoshopping of high res- it takes a LOT longer than I thought.

I am in a surprisingly foul mood. I woke up badly, and slept on my shoulder poorly, leaving my right arm a ball of pain. I have got to sit down with my mother and figure out where the hell our finances are, because - well, things are so bad they're ridiculous. Mom's health mental and physical is this slow decline I don't even know if I can really get in front of to slow down. There's only so much I can do.

I watched the new Doctor Who special, which was lovely and sad, but depressing video doesn't help much and I fear for the next one. I am seriously debating going back to bed to see if I feel better when I wake up.

In job news- I didn't quit Santa's village without something else in place already. In fact, I'm now working at Black's with Sheena at Lawrence station. It's a hike, but one I can tolerate for a job I really do miss.
As far as Santa's goes- In short, I apped to be a photographer for Santa's Castle thing at Duffrin mall. My interview was shitty when my boss-to-be was 50 minutes late, insulted my photography, and didn't actually ask me any questions in the five minutes we met in. X_X 0 stars. I got the job as an 'elf' which is to say I played greeter, which I was a little @_@ about since I wanted the photog experience, but at the same time same pay less work is hard to argue. So anyway, worked for two days and Santa, and one of the photogs, are jerks and creepers of the worst sort. I just can't stand to be around someone who spends a 5 hour shift telling you of all the ways he's happily screwed people over, usually for upsetting him. Jack's probably a ok guy if you're his friend, but I've never met a more sadistic, spiteful, crass and rude man in my life in an actual business environment. The fact that I'm a girl doesn't seem to register to him or Santa as they continually make comments about women in short skirts sitting on Santa's lap. Ugh.
And, since the job was very very dead - A position where I'm actually working is a good thing, since I've been in retail for far too long for me to be able to stand around and not do anything for 30 minutes. That's... slacking, somehow.

So new job get, and it means I'll have a cell phone too! Hurrah!

You know, bed sounds like a fabulous idea.

So I'm off to my Santa's Villiage job (Yeah, I know I still need to post about it here) which I have already quit and this is the last day of (Again, will post about such tonight) and the fact that I am like... maybe 5% anxious about leaving and working today (And hopefully getting paid) tells me I so totally did the right thing....

Working with creepers and jerks is not my idea of a holiday job.

When they first came here, there was no con in November. Everyone said they were daft to start a con in November, but they ran it all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So they ran a second one. That sank into the swamp, though slower. I'm sure they'll build a third, and pretty sure that one will burn down, fall over, then sink into the swamp. But the fourth will stay!

And that's what you're going to get, Lad, the ~~strongest castle~~ best con in all of ~~England~~ Toronto.

Bad weeks come and go, and I've been fighting dreams and harddrive corruption since Saturday. Some things do make the days better however - AWESOME friends, and SHINY PHOTOS.
Sadly, Cindy didn't make it to the con (I am BRILLIANT) but I made sure to take photos of everyone's shinies because EPIC SILLY COSTUMES OF EPIC WERE EPIC.

Also, have switched back to this layout because pics were cutting off in the other - let me know if you can view full pics under the cut? I don't care if they cover my sidebar, I'm annoyed when they get cropped wierd though.

I'm debating going down, but it will depend on if there's anyone to hang with/photos to be taken. Threw a post on the comms and on the forum to see if I get any biters, but I have no idea how big it'll be considering how much of a flop it was last year.

Staying in Indy with Sewing! and will be heading up to Youma with them instead of Sae. Sae is up in Chicago with Ryn this week. ^_^ All goes well all around. (Sewing is AWESOME, seriously.)
