Now that things have calmed down, time to catch up with the backlog. These have been on the site, but I like doing these posts for those who want to see the 'best of' and because it's fun to do commentary (and so I can remember this all later)

Sushi Samba is this fusion Sushi restaurant and bar. It's one of those trendy post-club type destinations, and it doesn't have a lot of daytime traffic. Their second floor is the bar, which has cushions and benches and wood paneling and makes it feel like if a morrocan designed a Japanese styled bar, this is maybe what it'd look like. It's a big cosplay destination at other cities, but Chicago seems clueless about it. They've hired Sae and Ryn and Jia on a few occasions to show up in costume and just stand around- and since the last time they did so they didn't pay for the whole gig, Sae haggled them into a compromise: They let us 'rent' out the bar during the day for free (which is awesome, since it ought to cost 2k). And so, Amanda got the chance to shoot in a bar, and it was awesome.
